September Community Update

In looking at our instruction over the last month, we have hosted 5,812 Zoom meetings, with 120,370 participants, accounting for 4,232,419 meeting minutes! All students in the district have participated in this instructional format and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. These numbers do not include our In-Person Hybrid instruction, which only adds to the high quality education being provided our students.

We continue to make adjustments to our system, ever-looking to improve the instruction we provide our students. As such, per day instructional time set by the state stands at 5 hours which is being approximated by teachers as they plan their lessons. If you feel your child has finished assigned work ahead of schedule, please reach out to your child’s teacher for additional learning activities.

Looking ahead to the end of the first quarter, this would be the time to make any necessary changes in how students are receiving their instruction, whether In-Person Hybrid or fully Remote. We are strongly discouraging parents from making changes unless absolutely necessary, as this will force the district to re-section classes and in some instances adjust schedules and teachers.

A separate communication will be coming at the end of the week more clearly outlining what the end of the quarter will entail, including a change from Phase Two to Phase Three for In-Person Hybrid learners.  We are so excited for the things to come and are looking forward to sharing more with you soon!

Thank you for your unwavering support.
