Dr. McDermott's resignation was received by the Board of Education late March 15. The Board has accepted Dr. McDermott's resignation and wishes him great success in his future endeavors.
As District 142 moves forward, the Board of Education has started the initial steps to begin the new superintendent search process as of March 16. We will keep our families, staff, and community well informed along the way.
The Board of Education would also like to reassure the community we will not be pursuing school reconfiguration for the 2021-2022 school year. The survey results will be posted on the District 142 website later this week. We will continue to update the community on initiatives to ensure the motto of Children Always Come First is at the forefront of all our work.
