The new measure is part of the state’s ongoing effort to combat a new surge as the Delta variant rapidly spreads.
The mask requirement is inclusive of youth sports and activities, with masks now required for all indoor extracurriculars and sports. In line with CDC guidance, masks are not required for activities outdoors where transmission risks and rates are lower.
Wednesday’s announcement differs from the reopening plan our school district recently adopted in July. At this time, the Board of Education will meet to review the new rules and will be communicating with you any changes after our August 10 Board of Education meeting.
In the meantime, we wanted to provide you with some important upcoming dates and information.

PowerSchool Public Portal
The PowerSchool Public Portal will open on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 12:00pm. The district's PowerSchool server address has changed, please change your bookmarks to https://powerschool.d142.org/public
To see your child’s schedule, locker and bus information, you MUST go through the PowerSchool Public Portal, log in and on the menu click on Student Schedule.
If you are going through the PowerSchool app, you will not be able to see your child's current school schedule until after August 18 as well as locker and bus information.
If you are locked out of the Public Portal, you either need to pay the minimum amount of school fees in the RevTrak Web Store, https://d142.revtrak.net or you need to contact the District’s Registrar to prove residency.
