This TikTok post is general in nature and does not mention any specific school or district. As such there is no reason to believe the post is directed at District 142.
We have spoken directly with the Oak Forest Police Department and they have determined that this is not a credible threat. In an abundance of caution, we have alerted all school administrators of this TikTok message and have instructed them to closely observe activities in and around their school buildings.
The safety and security of every District 142 student and staff member is our highest priority. In an effort to be proactive, we wanted to be sure that parents and guardians were made aware of this.
